With Nebraska limited on the number of players it can recruit in the 2022 class, most of the Huskers’ focus in September and October has been on underclass recruits. One of the priority underclass recruits for Nebraska is Rock Island (Ill.) Alleman junior offensive tackle Charles Jagusah.

The 6-foot-6, 308-pound four-star prospect was on an unofficial visit to Nebraska this weekend. He picked up an offer from Nebraska while on the trip.

Charles Jagusah impressed by NU

Charles Jagusah, the No. 34 player in the On3 Top 100 for the 2023 class, shared news about the offer on social media. He confirmed to On3 he did indeed pick up the scholarship from the Huskers.

Jagusah said he was impressed by the atmosphere and fans in Lincoln. The Huskers beat Northwestern 56-7 to move to 3-3 on the season. He said the crowd inside Memorial Stadium was electric.

“There was so much energy throughout the game,” Charles Jagusah said. “The fans support the players. Win or lose they pack that stadium every game.”

Jagusah said the facilities in Lincoln also stood out to him. He said coach Scott Frost talked at length with him and other recruits about facility upgrades on the way.

Jagusah said Frost told him that Nebraska has good things now but the new upgrades – which will feature a new training table, academic center, locker room, coaches offices, strength and conditioning area, and athletic medical facilities – will be “the best in college football.”

This was the second time Jagusah has seen the Huskers in person this season. He was at the Illinois game to start the season. Jagusah said he noticed a big improvement from the Nebraska offensive line.

Jagusah has double-digit offers. He also claims offers from Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and West Virginia to go along with the new offer from Nebraska.

Jagusah has taken numerous visits, including a trip to Iowa this summer. He’ll be back in Iowa City this upcoming weekend. Along with the Illinois visit, he was at Minnesota on Sept. 25 and Wisconsin on Sept. 4.
