Gretna (La.) De La Salle four-star offensive tackle Caden Jones revealed his top five schools on Saturday. They are Florida, Florida State, Houston, Texas and Texas A&M.

Jones is the No. 351 overall prospect and No. 24 offensive tackle in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 19 player in Louisiana.

On3 rates him even higher. Even though he isn’t in the 2023 On300, Jones is the No. 23 offensive tackle and No. 16 player in Louisiana.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Aggies have a commanding lead for Jones’ commitment at 92.3%. The Seminoles have the next-best odds at 2.7%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Per On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman, Jones does not believe he will make a decision on his college destination until after his senior season. His most recent visit was a July 29 unofficial visit to Texas A&M.

Caden Jones On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Caden Jones:

“Gargantuan athlete whose potential is through the roof due to his size and athleticism. Absurd measurables for a high school tackle prospect. Stands in at 6-foot-7.5, 300 pounds with 36-inch arms. Jumped an extremely impressive 30-inch vertical during the summer camp circuit prior to his senior season. Raw positional traits due to only playing the game when he started high school. Basketball player who shows his body control and balance on the hardwood and the gridiron. Needs to clean up his footwork in pass protection. Plays with poor leverage but has the bend to improve it. Lacks pop in his hands which should improve as he gets stronger. Extremely raw prospect but has all the tools to be as good as he wants to be. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2023 recruiting cycle.”
