It came down to Auburn, Clemson, and Tennessee for Jeremiah Cobb before the four-star running back chose to stay home with the Tigers.

The star out of Montgomery (Ala.) Catholic Preparatory has visited Auburn multiple times and the feeling there was different from the other places.

“Clemson and Tennessee are great schools with great staffs, so it was a tough decision, but at Auburn, it felt like home, it felt right, and it is where I need to be.”

Clemson received the first official visit from the No. 168 prospect in the On3 Consensus early in June. Auburn was next in line, then Cobb took his official visit to Tennessee last weekend.

After getting back home from Knoxville is when Cobb made his decision. Not only down the 5-foot-11, 190-pound running back love the atmosphere, but he loves the coach he will get to play for too.

“I have a great relationship with coach Carnell Williams. He was a big part of my decision too. I like being around him and he wants to develop me on and off the field. He is someone I trust and he was a big part of this.”

Cobb plans to be at many Auburn home games this fall. He was at the Iron Bowl last season and he can’t wait to play inside Jordan-Hare Stadium.

“It was an amazing experience,” Cobb said. “I got to see it all. The fans and the atmosphere are amazing. It is going to be exciting to play in that atmosphere.”
