Domani Jackson dropped some major news Sunday when he announced he was decommitting from USC.

The Five-Star Plus+ prospect explained to 247Sports what his next steps are going to be as a newly untethered prospect.

He said the Trojans are not out of the running and are competing with Alabama and Michigan for his signature. And he will in fact still visit the Colosseum this weekend.

“I’m still considering USC and will be taking my official visit there this weekend for the UCLA game,” Domani Jackson told 247Sports. “I just felt like the best way to really evaluate all my options was to de-commit so every one would be on the same level.”

He will then go on a trip to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the Ohio State game in two weeks. Jackson will probably be the biggest prospect at what is likely to be a top-10 matchup with major implications for the Big Ten Championship Game and College Football Playoff.

“I’m going out there for the Ohio State game (Nov. 27) at the end of the month,” Jackson said. “I’ve always liked Michigan and that’s going to be a great environment. My dad will be coming out with me and it’s always a great time with the players and coaches out there.”

Domani Jackson is one of the top prospects in the country. The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has him as the No. 5 prospect in the country.

Not only is he ranked No. 5, but he is also a On3 Five-Star Plus+ prospect, which means he is ranked by all four major recruiting media companies as a five star with the Five Star Plus+ label.

He was at Alabama two games ago for the matchup against LSU.

“Alabama was a great visit and it’s a great fit for me,” Domani Jackson said. “It’s a school that provides you with everything you need to be successful. Nick Saban is the GOAT and like I said, you go to Bama, you’re guaranteed to play for a National Championship every year and get to the League.”
