Jayden Williams is the No. 10 ranked player in the 2024 On3 Consensus. The 6-foot-9 forward out of Snellville, Georgia will play with Overtime Elite (OTE) next season.

“I’m more of a slasher,” Williams told On3. “But I can shoot it, put the ball on the floor, and post up also. I’ve worked a lot on my ball handling. I watch some Anthony Davis how he maneuvers around the court, at his size, and shoot the ball.”

With the new shift from OTE, players can sign scholarship papers with the program that will allow them to keep their college eligibility. On3 sat down with Jayden Williams recently to talk about which schools the four-star was hearing from most.

“I hear a lot from Georgia Tech and Auburn,” Williams said. “I’d like to visit both of them, see what they’re all about.”

Williams talks recruitment

Georgia Tech: “They play a lot through their guards, which is an advantage for a guy like me. I can do a lot on the wing, and the guards open up space for me. I like their new coaches over there too. They like my versatility, how they can line me up in multiple spots in their offense.”

Auburn: “I watched a lot of Jabari (Smith). I liked how they let him play and allowed him to do certain things on the floor that he could do. They like how I am skilled like that, can do a little bit of everything.”

“I am still hearing from Xavier a good bit, their old staff offered,” Williams said.

Williams’ take

“I want to feel at home,” Williams said. “I want to go to a school I am comfortable at, both on and off the court. Location won’t really matter; it will be mostly about where I fit best.

“I don’t want to play for a coach that will box me in as a traditional big. I’d like to play for someone that will let me do what I can, let me put the ball on the floor and face up some too.”
