Daingerfield (Texas) four-star wide receiver Aeryn Hampton announced that he will be taking official visits to Alabama and Texas in June. He announced the news on Twitter.

Hampton is the No. 94 overall prospect and No. 16 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 19 player in Texas.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Hampton holds 17 Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Alabama and Texas as the favorites to land a commitment from Hampton. Alabama leads at 55% while Texas sits at 30.3%.

Hampton has visited Texas six times, the most of any school, with the last visit coming in January. He also visited Alabama in January.

Hampton had been a Baylor commitment before decommitting and committing to Texas on last February. He then decommitted from Texas and reopened his recruitment on Nov. 29.

On February 8 Hampton announced his top 7 schools. The list included Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Michigan, and Nebraska.

“The development of the program and what Coach Saban and Coach Wiggins have done with receivers is crazy,” Hampton told Hayes Fawcett. “It has always been love from the whole staff at Texas, even from the fans! Coach Sark is a great coach that lets his receivers run down the field. I’m a deep threat receiver, so if I was to go to Texas, it would be a great fit.”

Aeryn Hampton currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $123K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
