Alabama flips RB Jace Clarizio from Michigan State
Following a weekend visit to Alabama, East Lansing (Mich.) High running back Jace Clarizio has flipped his commitment from local Michigan State to the Crimson Tide.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Clarizio had been a verbal to the Spartans since May. He becomes commit No. 22 for head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff in the 2025 cycle adding to a haul that the On3 Industry ranks No. 2 nationally.
“Great program,” Clarizio said. “Playing on the biggest level.”
Clarizio’s official visit was highlighted by Alabama’s victory over Mercer.
“All the people and coaches I met and interacted with were all great people,” Clarizio said. “The atmosphere was crazy.”
Alabama had what Clarizio was looking for in a school and program.
“The competitiveness and passion for football with good coaches,” he said.
The On3 Industry ranks Clarizio as the nation’s No. 35 running back. On3 slots him at No. 33.
Clarizio joins an Alabama class that includes fellow running back Akylin Dear.
