AP Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings released after Week 10
The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings are in after Week 10 of college football and there were some shake ups following another wild weekend!
Oregon remained undefeated, Ohio State beat Penn State, the SEC is wild with Georgia scraping by and Texas A&M losing its first conference game and well, there’s just madness. It’s a week to week sport!
Let’s dive into the newest AP Poll Top 25 rankings after Week 10.
1. Oregon
Oregon is in business, as usual, after beating Michigan 38-17 in Ann Arbor to continue its undefeated season. The Ducks led 28-10 at halftime and cruised from there.
Oregon is considered one of, if not the best team in college football but it still feels quiet around Eugene. Perhaps that’s the way Dan Lanning likes it. Oregon will probably top the CFP rankings Tuesday night.
2. Georgia
Carson Beck threw two touchdowns, but also three interceptions and Georgia was once again pushed by rival Florida in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. In the end, the Bulldogs got the 34-20 win over the Gators and maintained a one-loss record in the SEC.
It was another ugly win but if Georgia can pull it together, it’ll likely be at national championship form. The concern right now is getting Beck right and hoping Trevor Etienne will return to health after suffering a rib injury.
3. Ohio State (+1)
Ohio State won a top five matchup! It was much needed for the Buckeyes, Ryan Day and the fans. Plus, beating Penn State is always fun isn’t it?
Ohio State isn’t even No. 2 in the Big Ten behind Oregon because of Indiana being undefeated in the conference. But this win could certainly galvanize the program for the rest of the season.
4. Miami (+1)
Miami is fun to watch this season, thanks in large part to Cam Ward. The QB Heisman contender threw another five touchdowns and 400 yards in a shootout win over Duke.
Of course, the ‘Canes pulled away in the end, winning 53-31. At one point, they were down double digits, so maybe a cause for concern? But they just keep winning.
5. Texas (+1)
Texas had a week off to regroup following a win over Vanderbilt. Since returning from injury, QB Quinn Ewers has been a little off.
As On3’s Jesse Simonton pointed out, perhaps the biggest point of emphasis this past week was to reignite the vertical passing game. Texas is still in position to win the SEC and get a first round bye.
6. Penn State (-3)
Another what-if for James Franklin and Penn State, which has not beaten Ohio State since 2016, the last year the Nittany Lions won the Big Ten.
Every time they’ve played since then, Ohio State was at minimum No. 6 in the country and Penn State was always ranked, including five times in the top 10. So, what next? PSU is still fighting for a playoff spot.

7. Tennessee
Tennessee is very similar to Georgia where they’re winning ugly. Dylan Sampson has been a blessing at running back as he carried the Vols in the second half in a win over Kentucky.
The way it looks right now, Tennessee can get to the SEC Championship Game by winning its remaining conference games against Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Georgia. There’s a path!
8. Indiana (+5)
Look out for the Hoosiers man! If you see Indiana coming, you might as well get out of the way because they’ll blow your doors off.
Curt Cignetti is the easy frontrunner for coach of the year and Indiana is thinking not only Big Ten Championship Game, but first round bye in the College Football Playoffs. Google him. He just wins.
9. BYU
BYU was also on a bye week this past weekend but are still undefeated. The Holy War against Utah is coming up and the Cougars are favored by 4.5 points going into that one.
How about BYU? They still have an inside track to the Big 12 title game and could very well run the table to a first round bye in the playoffs.
10. Notre Dame (-2)
Notre Dame is hot right now so the question is if they can keep it going the rest of the way. The Fighting Irish likely have to be 11-1 at the end of the year to make the College Football Playoff.
The good news is, they’ve scored at least 31 points in four straight games, so the offense is rolling. Good looks to Riley Leonard for stepping up in the passing game. The defense has been dominant too.
