AP Poll Top 25 College Football Rankings released after Week 11
The latest AP Poll Top 25 rankings are in after Week 11 of college football and there were some shake ups following another wild weekend!
Miami fell victim to the upset bug vs. Georgia Tech, Alabama dominated LSU, Ole Miss knocked off Georgia and the Big Ten is shaping up for a wild finish. Oh yeah, the Big 12 has two clear teams at the top now based on record.
Let’s dive into the newest AP Poll Top 25 rankings after Week 11.
1. Oregon
Oregon is the top dog, well, Duck. A dominant win over Maryland was just the latest for this undefeated squad atop the Big Ten.
Dillon Gabriel is still in the Heisman discussion, but perhaps a little away from winning the award this year. Still, Oregon has its sights set on a national title to cap the 2024 season.
2. Ohio State (+1)
The Buckeyes thwarted Purdue 45-0, so no, there was not another upset brewing from the Boilermakers. See what we did there? No? Okay, moving on.
Jeremiah Smith set the school record for a freshman wide receiver with his ninth touchdown of the season. Next up is Northwestern before a showdown with undefeated Indiana.
3. Texas (+2)
Texas dominated Florida so there was no Billy Napier-is-sticking-around-magic to be had. The Longhorns saw Quinn Ewers throw for 333 yards and five touchdowns. Easy stuff right?
Following that loss to Georgia, Texas seems to be back … again. Now, can they stay at the top of the SEC the rest of the way?
4. Penn State (+2)
Penn State bounced back in a big way with a 35-6 win over Washington following the loss to Ohio State. Tyler Warren had two touchdown runs and caught eight passes for 75 yards in this one.
Penn State also led 28-0 at halftime, so the White-Out energy can be preserved for a potential home playoff game, if the Nittany Lions are ranked high enough of course! PSU heads to Purdue for its next game.
5. Indiana (+3)
Indiana needed one of these games right? The Hoosiers beat Michigan at home 20-15 in front of a raucous crowd in Bloomington. The win pushed them to 10-0 on the season.
Now the big game comes. Indiana will head to Ohio State in two weeks. A win there and it might be time to start thinking if this team could actually win a national championship.
6. Tennessee (+1)
Tennessee beat down Mississippi State 33-14 to improve to 8-1 overall and near the top of the SEC. However, starting QB Nico Iamaleava missed the second half due to injury.
The good news is, Josh Heupel said it was out of caution. You better hope so because the Vols will need him against Georgia. A win there could all but lock up a playoff spot right?

7. BYU (+2)
BYU needed a comeback and maybe some help from the officials to beat Utah. All kidding aside, BYU is still undefeated on the season and in the driver’s seat for the Big 12.
You gotta wonder if they finish undefeated if they’ll grab the No. 3 seed at this point based on what’s going on in the ACC? Very possible.
8. Notre Dame (+2)
Notre Dame blasted Florida State 52-3. It probably says more about FSU at this point since they’re 1-9 on the season.
The Fighting Irish are rolling since that loss to NIU in September. With three games left, there’s a clear path to 11-1 and a playoff spot for Marcus Freeman and crew.
9. Alabama (+2)
Alabama got back into everyone’s good graces with a dominant win over LSU in Baton Rouge. Jalen Milroe was scary good running the football despite a less than stellar passing day, although he really didn’t need it.
The Crimson Tide get Mercer in their next game, so no offense to them, but chalk that up as a win. Alabama is firmly back in the playoff hunt, if not the projected bracket again.
10. Ole Miss (+6)
Ole Miss earned the biggest win of the Lane Kiffin era by beating Georgia at home. That’s a big monkey off the back of the head coach.
With the win, the Rebels are back in the top 10 and they kept their College Football Playoff hopes alive. Always helps to have a big time win over Georgia on your resume.
