The regular season is over after a thrilling rivalry weekend across the country. Everyone is waiting for conference championships, while wondering how the College Football Playoff will shake out. As usual, Tuesday night is when a new set of data presents itself.

However, the BCS rankings give us a preview of how the penultimate CFP top 25 will look. Thanks to the account ‘BCS Know How’ on Twitter/X, the latest top 25 was released on Monday.

Some major change comes throughout the top 10 due to a loss by one team. Let’s check out the full set of rankings below, beginning in Columbus.

1. Ohio State Buckeyes

Ryan Day got over an important hurdle, convincingly winning The Game. A great moment for the entire Ohio State program, as it broke a four-year losing streak in the rivalry.

Next up is the Big Ten Championship Game, which can lock down the one-seed moving forward. Not just in the BCS either, but the College Football Playoff as well.

2. Indiana Hoosiers

Indiana will be the team gunning for the top spot, though. IU got a rivalry win of its own over the weekend without much doubt, taking down in-state foe Purdue.

Everyone remembers how Indiana fared against Ohio State last season. A trip to Indianapolis gives them a shot at redemption and to truly show they are national championship contenders.

3. Georgia Bulldogs

The first team to slide up in the BCS rankings, Georgia also finds itself in a conference championship game. Kirby Smart‘s bunch is once again heading to Atlanta, practically calling Mercedes-Benz Stadium a second home at this point.

At this point, it’s safe to assume the Bulldogs are a lock for the 12-team field. But do not tell anyone in Athens that the SEC title game does not matter. They sound like they will be ready to play.

4. Oregon Ducks

Oregon slides into the realm of first-round byes after previously being No. 5. A good position for them to be, at least in the BCS, considering they are idle until the CFP begins.

When Tuesday’s show comes out, Oregon is not likely to be in this position. The BCS most likely is higher on the Ducks than the in-person committee in Grapevine, TX.

5. Ole Miss Rebels

The BCS standings do not take into account who the Ole Miss coach is. Computers only look at what’s been put out on the field, while major poll voters kept a high status of the Rebels. Thus, they sneak into the top five.

Ole Miss figures to be one of the more interesting teams in Tuesday’s rankings. Comfortably hosting a first-round game here, everyone is wondering if a slide is coming from the CFP.

6. Texas Tech Red Raiders

Right now, Texas Tech is the lone Big 12 team to be in the 12-team field. They have been a presence throughout, finishing the regular season with just one loss.

History can be made in Arlington by winning the Big 12 for the first time. It might just come at the cost of their own conference, proving to be a one-bid league.

7. Texas A&M Aggies

The lone loss of the week inside the top-10, Texas A&M slides down to No. 7. Going into Austin proved to be too much for the Aggies for a second-straight rivalry loss in the Lone Star Showdown.

Posting a record of 11-1 feels as if it should be enough for a home game on Dec. 19/20. Updated BCS standings have Texas A&M in such a position.

8. Oklahoma Sooners

Oklahoma escaped disaster in front of the home Norman crowd on Saturday. Three Sooners turnovers put LSU in great position to pull off an upset, only to fall short late in the fourth quarter.

The biggest question surrounding OU is where the first-round game takes place. Gaylord Memorial Stadium could wind up being the spot, providing another great atmosphere.

9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Much like the CFP committee, Notre Dame is getting love from the BCS. Everyone out there seemingly has an opinion on the Irish, mainly when it comes to certain head-to-head matchups.

No conference affiliation means no conference championship game. Notre Dame would almost be a lock at this point if the BCS rankings had final say.

10. Alabama Crimson Tide

An Iron Bowl win is an Iron Bowl win, dramatically getting through Auburn. Alabama continues to find itself on the bubble when it comes to the BCS rankings at No. 10.

Playing in the SEC Championship provides Alabama with an opportunity to provide no doubt, earning the automatic qualifying shot. If not, questions are going to be asked on Selection Sunday.

11. BYU Cougars
12. Vanderbilt Commodores
13. Miami Hurricanes
14. Texas Longhorns
15. Utah Utes
16. USC Trojans
17. Michigan Wolverines
18. Virginia Cavaliers
19. North Texas Mean Green
20. James Madison Dukes
21. Tulane Green Wave
22. Arizona Wildcats
23. Navy Midshipmen
24. Tennessee Volunteers
25. Iowa Hawkeyes
