Big 12 releases 2022 preseason offensive, defensive teams, individual awards for football

As the 2022 season inches closer, the Big 12 have announced both their offensive and defensive preseason teams. Voted on by the media, there is only one team out at the moment, with 28 players picking up honors on Wednesday afternoon.

Only two players were unanimous decisions, with both coming at the running back position. Kansas State‘s Deuce Vaughn and TexasBijan Robinson were voted on by every media member with a ballot, showing how highly they are thought of.

Kansas State leads the way within the conference, having six total selections. Baylor was right behind the Wildcats, gaining five, including two on the offensive line.

Additionally, three preseason awards were announced simultaneously. Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year were added with Newcomer of the Year. You can check out the full teams and award list below.
