ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – Big Shots brought together 96 high school teams across eight courts at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center for the third annual Big Shots Prep Nationals.

On3 was courtside to catch the action. Here are the day one standouts.

6-10 2023 Carson Cooper

This viewing was On3’s first of Cooper, and he made quite the impression. Listed at 6-foot-10, the long-armed post showed quite the array of post moves. The lefty jump-hook over his right shoulder first caught the eye, then he went high for a dunk in traffic, knocked down an 18-footer, and rebounded the whole game. Playing with the Bradenton (FL) IMG Spotlight team, put eyes on him now; there could be a blow-up in the next six months.

Cooper officially visited Duquesne, Vermont, and Eastern Michigan. ACC schools have recently come into play for him.

7-0 2022 Dok Muordar

We have watched Muordar numerous times this season, and he has brought it each time. Lengthy, and he moves very well for a seven-footer. Muordar has touch that extends beyond the three-point line off the catch. He is a willing rebounder, and he can affect shots around the basket. Muordar is thin, but there is a lot to like with his game, and he keeps showing more each time out.

Muordor claims South Florida and Oregon State offers with some Big East schools sniffing around.

6-5 2023 Freddie Dilione

Dilione scored it, every which way possible. In the game of basketball, like Bill Russell famously said, ‘this game will always be about getting buckets.’ Dilione finished with an event high 33 points. He scored comfortably off the bounce and was able to get to spots from each level. It was the type of impressive performance from the Raleigh (NC) Word of God Academy that could propel Dilione into the national conversation and bump his recruitment a level.

VCU has been on Dilione for a while. Xavier and LSU are involved as well.

6-6 2023 Isaiah Coleman

Coleman is a lengthy and athletic wing. He is naturally gifted in transition, attacks the basket with purpose. He can get to his spots in the half-court, and the Fort Washington (MD) National Christian wing knocked down pull-up jumpers. Coleman finished with an efficient 20 points

Xavier has been in this one for a while, Marquette and DePaul more recently.
