The Big Ten has released kickoff times and TV networks for the Week 7 college football slate. The schedule includes four games between conference opponents as well as one nonconference contest.

Below is the full set of games for the week, along with their start times and TV designations. All times listed are Eastern.

Saturday, Oct. 16

  • Michigan State at Indiana, Noon, FS1
  • Nebraska at Minnesota, Noon, ESPN2
  • Rutgers at Northwestern, Noon, Big Ten Network
  • Purdue at Iowa, 3:30 p.m., ABC
  • Army at Wisconsin, 8 p.m., Big Ten Network

Four unbeaten teams remain in the Big Ten, two of which will be in action in Week 7. Michigan State (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will have to pass a road test in Week 6 against Rutgers before heading to Bloomington to face the Hoosiers (2-3, 0-2) the following week.

No. 3 Iowa (5-0, 2-0) plays No. 4 Penn State (5-0, 2-0) this Saturday before a primetime game against Purdue in Week 7. If the Hawkeyes can come out on top in that one, all eyes will once again be on them against the Boilermakers.

Wisconsin has struggled to live up to expectations after opening the season at No. 12 in the AP poll. The Badgers (1-3, 0-2) have faced some tough competition in the early going, as their losses are against Penn State, Notre Dame and Michigan. They will try to get things on track against Illinois on Saturday before a nonconference game with Army.

Given the strength of schedule thus far, Wisconsin could be a candidate to bounce back in the second half of the year and become bowl eligible.

Although the conference is still wide open as of now, that will change a great deal in the coming weeks. With at least one unbeaten team set to fall Saturday, we will have a clearer idea of who the candidates to take the conference crown are.

The Big Ten football season is flying by, and it’s hard to believe we are so close to Week 7.
