The Big Ten has announced kickoff times and TV designations for Week 6 of the college football season. Coming off of Week 4, the conference has five teams ranked in the AP top 25.

Ohio State will host Maryland at noon ET on Saturday, Oct. 9, and will be televised on FOX. Rutgers will host Michigan State at 12 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network, too.

Wisconsin travels to Illinois for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff, which can be watched on the Big Ten Network.

Arguably the biggest game in the Big Ten in Week 6, Penn State makes the trip to Iowa for a 4 p.m. kickoff on FOX. Both undefeated, the game could have huge College Football Playoff ramifications.

Michigan squeaked past Rutgers this past weekend, and on Oct. 9 the Wolverines will visit Nebraska. Kick is set for 7 p.m. on ABC.

Dismissed Ohio State linebacker officially enters NCAA transfer portal

Former Ohio State linebacker K’Vaughan Pope has entered the NCAA transfer portal, Lettermen Row and On3 reporters Austin Ward and Matt Zenitz confirmed Monday.

The news of Pope’s departure comes just days after an on-field outburst and social media tirade saw Pope dismissed from the Ohio State football program. The outburst was the news of the night in the Big Ten and around college football.

Ohio State may have picked up a 59-7 win over Akron on Saturday night in Columbus, but Pope’s exit was the bigger story. After his on-field eruption, he had to be escorted off to the locker room.

When Pope went to the locker room Saturday, he posted tweets with choice words that read.

“Fucc Ohio State,” he wrote, but later deleted. “Good lucc to my teammates.”

Saturday’s drama began when Pope appeared to head back to the locker room on his own. He was then brought back to the sidelines where he started to take off his jersey; however, Pope got a hold of his phone — and Twitter — before returning to the field.

“Someone just kind of told me about the tweet,” head coach Ryan Day said immediately after the game Saturday. “I am going to get all the details about everything that just happened before I say anything there.”
