Brandon Inniss, one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2023 class, said he has locked in his commitment date for Aug. 22.

The 6-foot, 190-pound four-star receiver from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage said he will choose between Ohio State, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma and Alabama. This summer, Inniss visited each school in his top five, except for Alabama, which he told On3 he will visit soon.

In June Inniss released a top 10, but this go-around he cut USC, Georgia, Clemson, Florida State and Ole Miss. He received more than 35 scholarship offers before cutting his list to the final schools and setting his commitment date.

Inniss discussed each of the final contenders with On3.

Ohio State

“Ohio State’s coaches are amazing,” Brandon Inniss said. “Coach (Brian) Hartline doesn’t only want to coach the players, but he wants to learn from them as well. That is a big reason why Ohio State is in my top schools.”

Florida

“Florida’s atmosphere is like no other,” Brandon Inniss said. “Watching the games from the sidelines, I can really imagine myself playing there.”

Miami

“All of the coaches are involved in my recruitment,” Brandon Inniss said. “They show a lot of love to me and my family and are the hometown team.”

Oklahoma

“Oklahoma’s coaches and atmosphere are amazing,” Brandon Inniss said. “When I took a visit all of the coaches were showing love. They produce receivers to the NFL, and that’s the ultimate goal.”

Alabama

“Alabama produces some of the best receivers in the draft every year,” Brandon Inniss said. “Especially being from Florida, Coach (Nick) Saban told me that he wants to coach me and get me ready for the next level.”

Brandon Inniss ready to focus on season

After transferring from TRU Prep Academy to American Heritage, Inniss said he is looking forward to making his commitment and putting his full focus into the 2021 football season.

Inniss has a verified 40-yard dash time of 4.68 seconds and a 30-inch vertical leap.
