The offseason continues moving along in college basketball, with many players beginning to make decisions on whether or not to keep their names in the 2022 NBA Draft. Players have until June to make a final decision on their futures, or they can simply keep their names in the NBA Draft process. Following the latest moves across college basketball, CBS has released updated Top 25 and 1 rankings.

On Monday, it was reported that Michigan State star guard Max Christie would be keeping his name in the NBA Draft, instead of returning to school with the Spartans. Christie spent one year with the Spartans, starting all 35 games he appeared in and averaging 30.8 minutes per game. He posted a line of 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 38.2% from the field and 31.7% from three-point range.

This update to the CBS Top 25 and 1 rankings is far from the first, as this is the tenth version since the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season. Last week, CBS updated the rankings after five-star Julian Phillips committed to Rick Barnes and the Tennessee Volunteers. Phillips turned down a lucrative contract from the NBA’s G-League Ignite program, and is a top 15 player in the 2022 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average.

Following the latest development with Christine, Michigan State narrowly remained inside the latest Top 25 and 1 rankings. The Spartans did see a bit of a fall though, dropping five spots.
