Big movers

The top movers heading into Week Three and Iowa and Ohio State. The two Big Ten teams saw opposite results over the weekend and caused big changes in the CBS Sports college football power rankings.

Iowa moved up 12 spots following a win over in-state rival Iowa State on the road. Not only did the Hawkeyes retain the Cy-Hawk Trophy and drop Iowa State seven spots, they also vaulted into the Top 10 and became the No. 2 team in the Big Ten.

Ohio State was the biggest mover in the opposite direction, joining Iowa State by dropping seven spots. While they moved the same amount as Iowa State, the Buckeyes take the top spot here because they originally ranked much higher. An early season loss to Pac-12 favorites Oregon could leave Ohio State on the outside looking in as they attempt to battle back toward the Top Four.

Upcoming slate

Week Three brings plenty of opportunities for another shake up in the CBS Sports college football power rankings. Headlined by an Alabama road trip to face Florida and a west coast battle between Arizona State and BYU, this week will provide answers to a lot of questions. Cincinnati will also face one of its toughest challenges with a road game against Indiana as Penn State fights to stay on top of the Big Ten against impressive SEC foe Auburn.
