After another turbulent week of college hoops, CBS Sports has updated their Top 25 and 1 rankings. Huge showdowns dominated the week, with Auburn defeating Kentucky and Tennessee getting the best of LSU.

First, Auburn took care of business in the biggest game of the weekend. In their first game as the No. 2 team in the country, the Tigers defeated the Wildcats by a score of 80-71. Behind 19 points from forward Walker Kessler, Auburn made their claim to be ranked No. 1 in next week’s rankings.

Elsewhere, Tennessee used a big victory over LSU to climb up the CBS Sports Top 25 and 1 rankings. While the Tigers were missing guard Xavier Pinson, the Volunteers still took care of business against their SEC rivals. It was guard Santiago Vescovi who led the way for Tennessee, scoring 16 points.

Moreover, Iowa State continues to fall after each loss. The Cyclones have been on a rough streak, punctuated by a 59-44 loss to TCU on Saturday. Next Wednesday, Iowa State will look to get back into the good graces of the rankings with a victory over Oklahoma State.

Finally, Baylor is righting the ship in the CBS Sports Top 25 and 1. The Bears won both their games comfortably this week, defeating West Virginia and Oklahoma.
