Pine Bluff (Ark.) four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins revealed his top 12 schools on Wednesday afternoon. They are Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan State, Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Georgia and Florida State.

Collins is the No. 248 overall prospect and No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Arkansas.

On3 rates Collins higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 132 overall prospect, No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Arkansas.

What to know about Collins’ recruitment

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU has a commanding lead for his commitment at 96.3%. Collins has made three visits to Baton Rouge, most recently on Nov. 5.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

“It was a great feeling,” Collins told Billy Embody of The Bengal Tiger on June 7 about a visit to LSU. “Kind of anticipated it. Came to camp today, dominated and all went well. I’ve never been to LSU before so for it to be my first time here, got the offer, took a couple pictures and what not, everything was good. Definitely love the support system around here. Everybody here is family.”

Two other SEC programs received game day visits from the 6-foot-4, 257-pound prospect this year. They are Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Collins has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.4K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
