Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe four-star running back Christian Clark announced his top five schools on Thursday. They are Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Oregon and Texas.

Clark is the No. 269 overall prospect and No. 21 running back in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Arizona.

Next month, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound recruit is taking official visits to Florida State (June 2), Oregon (June 9), Texas (June 16) and Georgia (June 23). He also went on an official to USC on May 19, but the Trojans did not make the final cut.

Clark has previously taken unofficial visits to each of his finalists. He was at Alabama on March 20, Florida State on May 19 and April 1, Georgia on March 17, Oregon on April 22 and Jan. 27 and Texas on March 25.

Earlier this year, Clark received 22 offers in 26 days. That sparked his rise from unranked to blue-chip recruit.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Texas has a commanding lead for Clark’s commitment at 79.3%. Gerry Hamilton of Inside Texas placed an expert prediction for the Longhorns to land Clark on April 16.

Clark breaks down his top five schools

Alabama: “It’s Bama. Watching college football, Najee Harris was my favorite running back when he was there. I love Josh Jacobs, so I love the history of running backs that they have.”

Florida State: “I love the coaches, the culture of everything, what coach (Mike) Norvell is bringing to the program,” Clark told Michael Langston of Warchant on April 2. “The campus is beautiful. I love it. My uncle and my mom, they went here, and they said it’s way different from when they went here. The running backs were all great. They treated me like a little brother as soon as they met me.”

Georgia: “To have a coach (Dell McGee) believe in me like that, especially from the back-to-back national champions, that’s the top in the country. It means the world.”

Oregon: “I know the running backs that they got now, they’re all gonna go to the league. I don’t know what round, but they’re gonna get drafted. When I was there, I got on the phone with LaMichael James. He’s a cool person. When I was younger, I always watched De’Anthony Thomas highlights. That was one of my favorite players growing up.”

Texas: “(Tashard Choice) sees a lot of Bijan in me. He said that when he watched my film. He was like, ‘This is literally a mini Bijan, another one.’ That means a lot, that he recognizes my talent for Bijan’s because I think he should be a top-five pick this year.”
