Per usual, former LSU quarterback and current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow made a fashionable entrance to the team’s ACF Championship game matchup versus the Kansas City Chiefs. But this week, he decided to send a direct message to the opposition with his outfit of choice.

Burrow arrived to Arrowhead head stadium sporting a pink denim jacket, pink pants, and a signature pair of sunglasses, but where he decided to make a statement was with his choice of shirt. Burrow’s shirt had a pink bear on it wearing a shirt that said, “Sorry,” with the bear also holding a tag reading “Sorry in Advance.”

Burrow has never lacked in confidence, and it seems like this week is no different as he chose to call his shot and apologize to the Chiefs in advance for the victory he’s manifesting for his Bengals squad.

The Chiefs and Bengals will be squaring off for the second straight season in the AFC Championship game. Last year Burrow helped man an 18-point comeback, tying an AFC title game record for the largest comeback, and defeating the Chiefs 27-24 in an overtime victory. In his two playoff games this year, Burrow has thrown for 451 yards and three touchdown passes, and will be looking to repeat history this season when they take on the Kansas City at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Cincinnati Mayor proclaims city requests Joe Burrow to take paternity test to confirm if he’s Patrick Mahomes father

Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval wants Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow to take a paternity test to prove if he’s the father of Patrick Mahomes.

All jokes aside, Mayor Pureval went the extra step in trash talking ahead of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game. Burrow is 3-0 against Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. That included a win over the Chiefs in last year’s AFC title game.

Mayor Pureval actually signed an official proclamation and released a video of him reading it out loud.

“Whereas, Joseph Lee Burrow, who’s 3-0 against Mahomes, has been asked by officials to take a paternity test confirming whether or not he’s his father,” reads one of the stipulations for the proclamation.

The other stipulations? That the Bengals are headed to “Burrowhead Stadium” to play the AFC championship game. That the Bengals won said AFC championship game in 2022. That the Bengals have, all season, “been on a path of destiny, fighting it out to overcome anyone who stands between them [and] a Super Bowl win.” And that Kansas City is named after its neighboring state, “which is, you know, just kind of weird.”
