Just hours before legends were made in the national championship game, the College Football Hall of Fame announced its 2023 class. Twenty-two different people can now call themselves Hall of Famers, spanning across the country. In total, 18 players and four coaches will now forever be inducted in Atlanta, GA.

Some of the biggest names to ever play in the sport are a part of the ’23 class, including two Heisman Trophy winners. Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow had a special moment with his ESPN colleagues at SoFi Stadium during pregame coverage. USC‘s Reggie Bush will be inducted as well after his memorable run in Los Angeles in the early 2000s.

NFF Chairman and a Hall of Famer himself, Archie Manning released a statement on the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame class being announced. He congratulated everybody involved, saying they were more than worthy of being included.

“We are extremely proud to announce the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class,” said Manning. “Each of these men has established himself among the absolute best to have ever played or coached the game, and we look forward to immortalizing their incredible accomplishments.”

Four coaches inducted

Of the four coaches, Richt has the highest winning percentage. Most of the success occurred in Athens, performing well with Georgia over the years. While he never won a national championship, Richt was able to bring two SEC Championships to the Bulldogs’ trophy cabinet.
