Here are the 1-130 rankings after Week 10.

There is one new team in the top 10 and four in the top 25.

Here are this week’s 1-130 rankings; the rankings are updated every Tuesday during the season. There are comments on each of the top-25 teams; in addition, there are comments on other noteworthy teams this week.

The top 25

1. Georgia (9-0 / last week’s ranking: 1st)
The buzz: The Bulldogs travel to Tennessee this week for just the 51st meeting between the teams (this will be the 30th meeting since the SEC expanded to divisions in 1992). Georgia never has finished 8-0 in the SEC, and that happens with a win in Knoxville.

2. Ohio State (8-1 / 2nd)
The buzz: Forget the stats, which remain impressive. But the Buckeyes’ offense has struggled a bit the past two games and a big indicator is that Noah Ruggles kicked eight field goals in those games.

3. Alabama (8-1 / 5th)
The buzz: The Crimson Tide is playing New Mexico State, which may be the worst FBS program in the nation, this week. And the Tide already has played FCS program Mercer. Cue all the, “Hey, the SEC is the toughest league in the nation blah blah blah” folks. Absolutely no question that’s true. But Mercer and New Mexico State in the same season? Weak.

4. Oregon (8-1 / 7th)
The buzz: The Ducks own a one-game lead in the Pac-12 North and face second-place Washington State this week at Autzen Stadium. Oregon has won 17 in a row at home, the third-longest such streak nationally, but has lost two of its past three against the Cougars at Autzen.

5. Cincinnati (9-0 / 3rd)
The buzz: The Bearcats are one of just three teams nationally in the top 15 in both scoring offense and scoring defense, joining Georgia and Coastal Carolina.

6. Oklahoma (9-0 / 6th)
The buzz: Now it gets real for Oklahoma. The Sooners play at Baylor on Saturday, then finish out the regular season against Iowa State (home) and Oklahoma State (road) before playing one of those teams in the Big 12 title game.

7. Michigan State (8-1 / 4th)
The buzz: The Spartans will look to bounce back against Maryland after their first loss of the season. Expect another big game from Kenneth Walker III because Maryland’s run defense is not good. The flip side: The Terps’ passing attack is prolific, and the Spartans’ corners can be picked on.

8. Michigan (8-1 / 8th)
The buzz: The Wolverines play at Penn State this week. A victory over the Nittany Lions and you’d expect Michigan to be in a position to win the Big Ten East when it plays host to Ohio State on November 27.

9. Oklahoma State (8-1 / 9th)
The buzz: The Cowboys welcome in TCU on Saturday, and before the game, a 9-foot-tall bronze statue of Barry Sanders will be unveiled outside Boone Pickens Stadium.

10. Texas A&M (7-2 / 13th)
The buzz: The Aggies play at Ole Miss on Saturday looking for their third win over a top-15 team this season; they already have beaten Alabama and Auburn.

11. Notre Dame (8-1 / 12th)
The buzz: The Irish play at Virginia this week. Notre Dame has won 10 in a row on the road against ACC teams.

12. Ole Miss (7-2 / 15th)
The buzz: ESPN College GameDay will be in Oxford for the game with Texas A&M. It’ll be the first visit from GameDay since that epic early October day in 2014 when Katy Perry showed up and No. 11 Ole Miss beat No. 1 Alabama (that was the same day No. 12 Mississippi State beat No. 6 Texas A&M in Starkville).

13. Baylor (7-2 / 10th)
The buzz: The Bears play host to Oklahoma on Saturday. Baylor is 3-28 all-time against the Sooners, including a seven-game losing streak. But, hey, two of the three wins have come in Waco, in 2011 and ’13.

14. Auburn (6-3 / 14th)
The buzz: The Tigers play host to Mississippi State, and any hope of a SEC West title means beating the Bulldogs. Also of note: Bald eagle Spirit will be making her final stadium flight; this will be her 47th flight since her maiden voyage before the 2002 Syracuse game.

15. NC State (7-2 / 20th)
The buzz: The Wolfpack can move into a tie for first in the ACC Atlantic Division by winning at Wake Forest on Saturday. It will be the 115th meeting in the series (the teams have played every year since 1910) but just the second time both are ranked at kickoff; the other was in 1992.

16. Iowa (7-2 / 19th)
The buzz: The Hawkeyes welcome in rival Minnesota this week. The best rivalry trophy of them all — Floyd of Rosedale, a bronze pig — goes to the winner. Iowa has won six in a row in the series.

17. Houston (8-1 / 18th)
The buzz:
A victory Saturday at woebegone Temple, and Houston would lock up a spot in the AAC championship game, which almost certainly would mean a matchup with Cincinnati.

18. Penn State (6-3 / 22nd)
The buzz: Jahan Dotson has 71 receptions and a shot at setting the school single-season record for catches; the current mark is 97 by Allen Robinson in 2013. He had 11 catches for 242 yards and three TDs in last week’s win over Maryland; it was his third game this season with double-digit receptions.

19. BYU (8-2 / 25th)
The buzz: The Cougars finally have an off week. After that, they close with road games against Georgia Southern and USC — which we’re going to call the Clay Helton stretch of the season.

20. Wake Forest (8-1 / 11th)
The buzz: Wake can clinch a tie for the ACC Atlantic Division title with a victory over visiting NC State on Saturday. If history is a guide, Wake is in good shape: It has won eight of the past 10 against NCSU in Winston-Salem. It’s the last home game of the season for Wake, which finishes with road games against Clemson and Boston College.

21. Wisconsin (6-3 / 26th)
The buzz: Watching Wisconsin try to throw the ball is … well, it’s ugly. But watching the Badgers play defense is exhilarating. As with Georgia, they simply maul their opponent up front and have fun doing it. The Badgers are allowing 1.9 yards per rush, more than a half-yard better than anyone else. In their past three games (two against teams currently ranked), they’ve allowed a total of 106 rushing yards.

22. Arkansas (6-3 / 29th)
The buzz: The Hogs will play just their second night game of the season Saturday at LSU. Arkansas is one of two FBS teams with four 400-yard rushers; the other is Ole Miss.

Purdue’s David Bell has had 200-yard games in each of the Boilermakers’ wins over top-five teams this season. Can he do the same against Ohio State? (Courtesy of Purdue Athletics)

23. Purdue (6-3 / 48th)
The buzz: The Boilermakers have a three-game winning streak over teams ranked in the top five after last week’s stunner over Michigan State. They can increase that to four this week against Ohio State.

24. San Diego State (8-1 / 24th)
The buzz: The Aztecs are in the top 10 nationally in scoring defense, run defense, total defense, yards-per-play defense and third-down conversion defense. In short, they’re 8-1 because of their defense.

25. Pitt (7-2 / 30th)
The buzz: Kenny Pickett has 29 TD passes; he has at least four games left this season (five if Pitt gets to the ACC title game) and needs nine more TD passes to set a school single-season record. The current mark is 37, by Dan Marino in 1981 (in 12 games) and Rod Rutherford in 2003 (in 13).

Teams 26-50

26. Utah (6-3 / 28th)

27. Kentucky (6-3 / 16th)
The buzz: The Wildcats have lost three in a row, and a season that looked as if it would end in a New Year’s Six game is looking increasingly likely to end in a bowl game in Florida.

28. Fresno State (7-3 / 17th)
29. Coastal Carolina (8-1 / 27th)
30. Louisiana (8-1 / 23rd)
31. Iowa State (6-3 / 31st)
32. SMU (7-2 / 21st)
33. Kansas State (6-3 / 33rd)

34. Clemson (6-3 / 34th)
The buzz: Hey, Clemson has scored 30 in back-to-back games! It’s a safe bet that the Tigers reach that plateau again this week, as woeful UConn comes calling.

35. Arizona State (6-3 / 36th)
36. UTSA (9-0 / 37th)
37. Nevada (7-2 / 40th)
38. Mississippi State (5-4 / 32nd)
39. Virginia (6-3 / 39th)
40. Appalachian State (7-2 / 44th)
41. UCLA (5-4 / 41st)
42. Tennessee (5-4 / 54th)
43. Miami (5-4 / 51st)

44. Boston College (5-4 / 52nd)
The buzz: It’s not a coincidence that starting QB Phil Jurkovec returned from injury and BC snapped a four-game losing streak with a victory Virginia Tech. With a healthy Jurkovec, BC would’ve been a legit contender in the ACC’s Atlantic Division.

45. Boise State (5-4 / 56th)
46. Minnesota (6-3 / 35th)
47. Washington State (5-4 / 45th)
48. North Carolina (5-4 / 59th)

55. TCU (4-5 / 57th)
The buzz: All hail QB Chandler Morris. In his first career start, the Oklahoma transfer threw for 461 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 70 yards and another touchdown in an upset of Baylor. The passing yardage total is fourth-most in school history and the 531 yards of total offense is second.

56. Texas Tech (5-4 / 55th)
57. UCF (6-3 / 67th)
58. Western Michigan (5-4 / 53rd)
59. Memphis (5-4 / 75th)

60. Air Force (6-3 / 60th)
The buzz:
One of the weirder stats of the past few seasons happened Saturday when Army beat Air Force 21-14 in overtime. Army and Air Force are triple-option teams, but both had more passing yards than rushing yards; Army threw for 214 and rushed for 102, while Air Force threw for 226 and rushed for 175.

61. Florida State (3-6 / 61st)
62. Syracuse (5-4 / 62nd)
63. USC (4-5 / 63rd)
64. Liberty (7-3 / 64th)
65. Virginia Tech (4-5 / 65th)
66. Indiana (2-7/ 58th)

67. Illinois (4-6 / 77th)
The buzz: Other than a 28-point loss to Virginia and a 24-point setback against Wisconsin, the Fighting Illini have acquitted themselves quite well in Bret Bielema’s first season. Seven of their 10 games have had one-score outcomes (the other outlier was a 10-point win over Charlotte).

68. Nebraska (3-7 / 66th)
The buzz: Scott Frost took a pay cut and has a restructured buyout; he also fired four assistants Monday after the Huskers fell to 1-6 in the Big Ten. Weird stat: While they have an abysmal league record, the Huskers actually have outscored their conference foes 190-176.

71. Utah State (7-2 / 78th)
72. Missouri (4-5 / 69th)
73. South Carolina (5-4 / 79th)
74. Washington (4-5 / 72nd)

75. Florida (4-5 / 47th)
The buzz:
Former Florida AD Jeremy Foley once said, “What must be done eventually must be done immediately.” Evidently, current AD Scott Stricklin doesn’t adhere to the same line of thinking

Teams 76-100

76. Rutgers (4-5 / 70th)
77. East Carolina (5-4 / 80th)

78. Stanford (3-6 / 68th)
The buzz: The Cardinal are coming off a 52-7 demolition at the hands of Utah. It was the first time Stanford had surrendered 50 points since 2011, when a LaMichael James-led Oregon team beat the Cardinal 53-30.

79. Georgia Tech (3-6 / 76th)
80. California (3-6 / 73rd)
81. Central Michigan (5-4 / 87th)

86. Northern Illinois (6-3 / 81st)

87. Tulsa (3-6 / 82nd)
The buzz: Saturday’s loss to Cincinnati was the Golden Hurricane’s fourth one-score setback this season. And all three wins came in one-score games.

88. Colorado (3-6 / 94th)
89. FAU (5-4 / 88th)
90. UTEP (6-3 / 89th)

92. Toledo (4-5 / 83rd)
93. Northwestern (3-6 / 92nd)

94. Eastern Michigan (6-3 / 100th)
The buzz: The Eagles have a legit chance to win more than seven games in a season for the first time since 1987. Heck, they’ve had just five winning seasons total since ’87 (and two of them were in 1988 and ’89).
