It’s a memorable morning on College GameDay, as an insane crowd formed behind the set as the crew took the show to Boone, North Carolina ahead of a showdown between Troy and Appalachian State.

The timing couldn’t have been more perfect for the Mountaineers, who are fresh off a huge upset of Texas A&M. They played well in Week 1 as well, taking North Carolina to the wire in a thrilling matchup. Appalachian State might have a 1-1 record, but it’s been an exciting two games that earned them Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and company coming to town.

On the other hand, trying to spoil the Mountaineers’ part are the Trojans, who are 1-1 on the season as well. Troy opened the year with a loss to Ole Miss, but they took care of business vs. Alabama A&M last Saturday. With the Trojans, Appalachian State has more than a credible opponent in town for College GameDay.

Meanwhile, College GameDay went to the rap game with Jack Harlow for Week 1 and to the movie theater with Glen Powell for Week 2, but Appalachian State brought country music back to the set with Luke Combs as the guest picker for Week 3.

Elsewhere, there are some awesome matchups taking place, as Penn State travels to Auburn to take on the Tigers in a rematch from last season. Additionally, the aforementioned Aggies welcome the Miami Hurricanes to College Station on Saturday, a unique showdown between the ACC and SEC.

Finally, one of the more underrated showdowns on Saturday will be between BYU and Oregon, as the Cougars are riding high with a victory over Baylor in their pocket from Week 2. If they can defeat the Ducks on Saturday, the hype will be given new legs regarding BYU moving forward.

As you can see, there’s plenty of fascinating storylines to follow for Saturday’s slate of games. Here’s who the College GameDay crew predicted to find victories, as they make their stamp on Week 3.

College GameDay picks for Week 3:

Troy at Appalachian State: Who did you think the College GameDay crew was going to pick? Everyone is on the Mountaineers.

BYU at Oregon: BYU is on fire, but Combs and Herbstreit believe a loss is coming their way.

Fresno State at USC: While the crew doesn’t believe USC will cover, they’re all picking the Trojans.

Michigan State at Washington: McAfee and Herbstreit are riding with Washington, while the rest of the crew believe in the Spartans.

Oklahoma at Nebraska: In the first game after Scott Frost’s firing, Combs is the only one who believes the Cornhuskers get the victory.

Mississippi State at LSU: Brian Kelly is looking for his first SEC victory, but Combs is the only picker who believes he gets it.

Miami at Texas A&M: The Aggies need a victory after losing to Appalachian State, and everyone sans Corso believes they’ll get one.

Penn State at Auburn: It’s going to be a fight between the Big Ten and the SEC, but Combs is the only one believing in Auburn.

Texas Tech at NC State: NC State is the popular pick, but Combs thinks the Red Raiders are getting the victory.

California at Notre Dame: Notre Dame needs a win bad, and everyone aside from Corso is picking the Fighting Irish.

Purdue at Syracuse: Combs is riding with the Boilermakers, but the rest of the crew are picking the Orange.

North Dakota State at Arizona: The Bison are getting a lot of love from the College GameDay crew, but Corso is the lone dissenter going against them, picking Arizona.
