College GameDay took place today from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The crew was on site for today’s riveting Red River Showdown between the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners.

With a great crowd on-hand prior to a matchup with huge College Football Playoff implications, the College GameDay crew made their selections for Saturday’s games. Additionally, Mark Cuban, entrepreneur, media personality and owner of the Dallas Mavericks joined the fun as the guest picker.

Cuban grew up in Pennsylvania, but purchased a majority ownership stake in the Mavericks in 2000. Since then, Cuban has been one of the most publicly involved owners in the NBA, frequently seen on the sidelines alongside fans at home and away games. He’s most-known for his involvement in Shark Tank, having been a “shark” investor on the ABC reality program since season two in 2011.

Now, Cuban hopes his immense success will translate to the College GameDay set. The smell of rivalry was in the air, and the energy of an important match-up was palpable. With the anticipation reaching its zenith, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit made their picks for an exciting Saturday slate.

All of GameDay’s Week 5 picks:

Texas vs. Oklahoma: “Texas will have the best football player in this game in Bijan Robinson .. but I think Spencer Rattler is going to ball out today,” stated Howard as he picked Oklahoma. However, Cuban picked the Longhorns to get the victory.

After faking out the crowd with the horns-down gesture, Corso turned them right-side up — he grabbed the Texas mascot head as he picked Texas to get the victory.

Penn State at Iowa: “Penn State will win this game because all the talk has been about Iowa’s defense. Watch the Penn State defense ball out tonight,” said Howard. Additionally, Herbstreit and Cuban agree, but Corso is picking Iowa.

Michigan at Nebraska: “This is my upset special — Nebraska at home,” said Cuban. However, he’s alone in that sentiment — Howard, Corso and Herbstreit are picking Michigan.

Georgia at Auburn: “Auburn’s only chance is for Bo Nix to play backyard football .. Auburn’s defense keeps them in the game, Bo Nix is the key to pull off the upset,” said Herbstreit. While Herbstreit gave Auburn the blueprint, everyone is picking Georgia.

LSU at Kentucky: “I believe LSU is going to rise to the occasion today,” said Howard. However, he’s the lone wolf picking LSU — Cuban, Corso and Herbstreit are picking Kentucky to stay undefeated.

Arkansas at Ole Miss: “Arkansas got embarrassed, but they’re too good of a team to not bounce back,” said Cuban. In a battle of two SEC teams coming off losses, Cuban is the only one to pick the Razorbacks.

Oregon State at Washington State: “I got Oregon State over Wazzu easy,” stated Howard. Herbstreit and Cuban agree with Howard, but Corso is picking Washington State.

Wake Forest at Syracuse: “I think it’s Wake Forest, I don’t think it’s close,” said Cuban. However, Corso and Herbstreit are picking the upset and Syracuse.

Notre Dame at Virginia Tech: “Virginia Tech’s defense is the difference in the game,” said Howard. In what will be an electric atmosphere, Corso is the only one who believes in Notre Dame.

Boise State at BYU: “This team’s playing with an edge,” Herbstreit said about BYU. Everyone’s in agreement — BYU gets the victory.

UConn at UMass: “In the battle of the two worst teams, take the worse one,” said Cuban. Howard is also picking UMass, but Corso and Herbstreit are rocking with UConn.
