This regular season has been a memorable one across college baseball. Upsets have wreaked havoc on the top 25 throughout the season, and that was no different during the final weekend of the regular season. As the script flips from the regular season to postseason, D1Baseball has released updated top 25 rankings.

The highest-ranked team to lose a series this weekend was No. 2 Arkansas. A series victory would have locked up the SEC regular season for the Razorbacks, who instead lost two out of three at No. 12 Vanderbilt. Arkansas losing twice opened the door for No. 4 Florida to slide in, which the Gators did by winning two out of three at No. 19 Kentucky to earn a share of the SEC regular season with the Razorbacks. Those results alone shook up the top of D1Baseball’s top 25.

The late season struggles continued for No. 13 South Carolina, losing two out of three at home against No. 18 Tennessee. Right behind South Carolina, No. 14 Campbell lost a disappointing series after winning a midweek thriller against No. 15 East Carolina. Campbell lost two out of three at USC Upstate.

No. 16 Duke fell over the weekend as well, losing two out of three at No. 11 Miami. That series was extremely important for the hosting race, and the two teams are matched up in the same pool in the opening round of the ACC Tournament this week.

No. 24 Washington was quietly sneaking into the hosting discussion, but those chances likely came to an end this past weekend when the Huskies lost two out of three against Cal.

For teams safely in the NCAA Tournament picture, this next week is about seeding and trying to lock up regional hosting spots. For everyone else, they’re looking to create chaos and steal some bids to the tournament. But just about every team in D1Baseball’s top 25 rankings have something to play for in their respective conference tournaments.
