Dorian Thompson-Robinson: NIL U Player of Week
Leading his team to a monster win over a ranked LSU team on Saturday night, and moving his team to a 2-0 start on the season all while being extremely active within the NIL landscape, the inaugural NIL U MVP Athlete of the Week is UCLA’s Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Combining for 260 yards in the air and throwing for 3 TD’s, Thompson-Robinson led the Bruins to a massive upset in front of a primetime audience.
Before the new era of NIL kicked off in July, Thompson-Robinson was already an entrepreneur himself, starting his own merchandise and apparel company, Friends Over Fans, which sells products for “spotlighting global issues, raising conscious awareness, and unifying the voices of our planet through our designs”. While his company is still actively selling products today, the young man has partnered and signed with Fritz Martin Management to help manage his brand and connect it with those wanting to engage.
