Dylan Raiola mocks Shedeur Sanders following Nebraska win vs. Colorado
Dylan Raiola took a victory lap on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders after Nebraska beat the Buffaloes 28-10 on Saturday. The Cornhuskers QB was pictured on social media postgame flashing his watch in the locker room, a move Sanders became known for last year.
Raiola had a solid performance to finish an efficient 23-of-30 passing for 185 yards and a touchdown in the win. Meanwhile, Sanders was 23-of-38 for 244 yards, one touchdown and one interception. You can view the troll from Raiola, alongside former NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, below.
Raiola, a five-star recruit in the 2024 class, won the starting job as a true freshman this offseason and has not failed to deliver on the hype thus far. He’s yet to throw for an interception through his first two games while completed more than 70% of his passes with three touchdowns.
The young QB set the tone early for the Cornhuskers, completing all three of his passes and also rushing for 12 yards on the opening drive. That ended with Dante Dowdell scoring from 12 yards out to give Nebraska an early 7-0 lead.

The Cornhuskers would go on to score 28 unanswered points to begin the game before Colorado opened the second half with a field goal. That was all it could muster until finally scoring its first touchdown of the game with 8:45 to play. But by that point, it was too late.
Nebraska forced two turnovers on the evening and held the Buffaloes to just 16 yards rushing. It was a dominant performance from the defense and Raiola steadied the offense with his efficient play on the other side.
It’s still early in the year, but Nebraska is already off to its best start since the 2016 season. The Cornhuskers will look to keep it going next week when they take on Northern Iowa.
