Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban four-star cornerback Elbert Hill is one of the most coveted defensive prospects in the 2026 cycle. Four schools have now locked in official visit dates with the blue-chipper.

Hill told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday that LSU (May 30), USC (June 6), Oregon (June 13) and Alabama (June 20) are set to receive OVs this summer.

The 5-foot-10.5, 170-pounder is the No. 27 overall prospect and No. 4 CB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Ohio.

“It comes down to who is pushing the hardest and where I feel I can stay and be happy,” Hill told On3’s Chad Simmons about his recruitment last month. “My list right now is jumbled up and it hard to see what is going to happen right now. I just want to find the best place for me.”

The likes of Ohio State, Miami, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M are other programs that have been in the mix in Hill’s recruitment.

Hill talks Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon and USC

In a previous interview with Simmons, Hill discussed his interest in three of the programs he’s now locked in OVs with, in addition to in-state Ohio State:

Alabama: “I have visited Alabama twice. I was at the Georgia game and I camped there last summer. Since the camp, Alabama has been coming hard. Coach Mo (Maurice Linguist) is great and I feel everything he says is real. He shows me how he builds his players and I like how he put players on the field early.”

Ohio State: “Coach Tim Walton and I have a great relationship. I want to see how the new DC (Matt Patricia) does things, but I believe in coach Walton. I feel he would put me in the right spot if I went there. He knows what he is doing and he is real with everything he says.”

Oregon: “Since I visited Oregon last July, they have been pushing hard. I talk to coach Wadood, coach Hampton and some other coaches. They do a great job checking in on me and my family. They have been consistent and they fell in love with me after the camp.”

USC: “I visited for the first time in January and once I got there, it really opened my eyes. They showed me how I could fit into their school and it was a great visit. Two days after that visit, coach Lincoln Riley was at my school. I have been talking to him, coach Belk and other coaches ever since.”
