Familiar faces are leading the college football world, with Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma looking like contenders at the half-way mark. However, the ESPN mid-season college football All-American team features many new faces throughout.
Leading the way are the Alabama Crimson Tide, with three selections throughout. After Nick Saban’s squad, the Georgia Bulldogs and Iowa Hawkeyes each have two players selected.
After defeating him when their team’s faced-off, Bryce Young also beat out Matt Corral to be selected as the team’s quarterback. The Alabama quarterback has been fantastic this season, even if his team just got upset by Texas A&M.
Additionally, the phenomenal Georgia defense contributed two players to ESPN’s team. Defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean join the list, as they’ve led one of the best units in the nation so far.
