ESPN College GameDay: Picks for Week 13, Michigan at Ohio State

An electric morning is about to give way to a tremendous afternoon of college football, but first the ESPN College GameDay crew had to make their picks.

On hand for a huge showdown involving two undefeated Big Ten rivals, traveling to Columbus for The Game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines, College GameDay picked a good one on Saturday.

Beyond staying undefeated, the winner of The Game will win the Big Ten East and go to Indianapolis for a shot at the Big Ten championship. It’s also entirely possible for the loser of The Game to make the CFP this season; it’s also a virtual lock that undefeated conference champion Michigan or Ohio State goes to the playoff. 

Elsewhere, there are some other monumental showdowns taking place as well, including the Iron Bowl between Auburn and Alabama, as well as Notre Dame taking on USC, looking to end the latter’s College Football Playoff hopes.

Additionally, AJ Hawk — former Ohio State legend, NFL linebacker and one of Pat McAfee’s cohorts on his daily show — joined the fun as the celebrity guest picker. We know who he’s going to pick, but the mystery resides with the rest of the team.

The crew of Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit are ready — here’s who they have winning the biggest matchups on Week 13.

ESPN College GameDay picks for Week 13:

Michigan at Ohio State: The Game. College Football Playoff hopes on the line. ESPN may be trying to play it up, but the hype is simply unbelievable and real.

David Pollack started things off by picking the Buckeyes, picking Ohio State to get some revenge. Howard is unsurprisingly riding with the Wolverines, meanwhile Herbstreit is of course a believer in the Buckeyes.

McAfee and Hawk are rocking with the Buckeyes as well, and Brutus gave Corso a present in hopes he would pick Ohio State. Did he? Of course he did. Corso is on the Buckeyes.

Notre Dame at USC: Irish. Trojans. Herbstreit is on the call, so no pick from the ESPN analyst, but the rest of the crew is all believes in Lincoln Riley and the Trojans. Corso even is rocking with Caleb Williams to win the Heisman. Fight on.

Oregon at Oregon State: McAfee and Corso are believers in the Beavers.

Washington at Washington State: Only Corso is confident the Cougars can get the win.

Kansas at Kansas State: Everyone thinks the Wildcats are on their way to the Big 12 Championship Game.

Iowa State at TCU: No one is picking against the Horned Frogs.

Auburn at Alabama: A lot of the talk recently has revolved around Auburn’s future, but the crew is picking the Crimson Tide to defeat them in the present.

South Carolina at Clemson: The Gamecocks pulled off the gigantic upset last weekend, but there’s no one on the College GameDay crew picking them over the Tigers on Saturday.

Minnesota at Wisconsin: Howard is the lone dissenter, picking the Golden Gophers.

Purdue at Indiana: McAfee and Corso are going with the Hoosiers, but Howard, Hawk and Herbstreit believe in the Boilermakers.
