Pitt had a monster 2021 season behind Kenny Pickett, culminating with an ACC title. But a changing of the guard is on the horizon, according to ESPN.

ESPN’s Mark Schlabach has locked in his predictions for every ACC team’s respective overall and conference records this season, headlined by a big season from Clemson. The Tigers went 10-3 last season, but missed out on a conference championship appearance. This year, Schlabach expects Dabo Swinney’s group to get back to the title game — but not without some competition from NC State, which he has coming in as a close second in the Atlantic division.

On the other side, in the Coastal division, Schlabach expects a big year from Miami and new coach Mario Cristobal, who returns to his alma mater after five seasons at Oregon. He thinks the Hurricanes can unseat Pitt as division title, but still has both the Panthers and North Carolina coming in a game behind them.
