Florida heads to Aggieland for bounce-back game versus Texas A&M

SEC hoops fans are in for a great night on Tuesday. On top of Kentucky-Tennessee action in Knoxville, the Florida Gators are heading to College Station as one-point underdogs. The Gators are coming off a rout versus the Wildcats, losing 78-57. Their NCAA tournament hopes are on the line with each game.

ESPN currently considers Florida in the “work to do” category on the NCAA tournament bubble.

“As a “first four out” type of bubble team, Florida will try to play its way onto the correct side of the cut line with a road date versus Texas A&M followed by home games against Auburn and Arkansas,” ESPN insider John Gasaway writes. “Certainly, the games in Gainesville against the Tigers and Razorbacks offer the possibility for marquee wins. The flip side, naturally, is that an 0-3 mark against the Aggies, Bruce Pearl’s team and the Hogs would extend the Gators’ stay in the most perilous real estate on the bubble.”

The Aggies are currently 4-8 in SEC play and on an eight-game losing streak. They fell to No. 1 Auburn 75-58 and are in desperate need of a course correction. They’ve struggled to contain their opponents’ best players so look out for the Gators’ Colin Castleton on Tuesday night.
