Four-star quarterback Dylan Lonergan of Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood high has narrowed his list to five schools—South Carolina, Stanford, Alabama, Ohio State, and Florida.

The 6-foot-1, 220 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.

South Carolina

“The atmosphere there is just different from any other place I’ve been to,” Lonergan said. “Coach Beamer and Kingston really make me feel at home there.”

Stanford

“The academic part really makes it a unique opportunity,” Lonergan said. “They also are great with developing QB’s.”

Alabama

“Bama is gonna be competing for a national championship year after year,” Lonergan said. “Also, they have their past 3 QB’s starting in the league right now.”

Ohio State

“Coach Day and Dennis are arguably the best at developing quarterbacks based on their track records,” Lonergan said. “Their offense is very quarterback friendly.”

Florida

“Florida is going to get a lot better the next few years and Coach Napier has a great record with QB’s,” Lonergan said. “Great baseball program as well.”

As far as baseball goes, the Georgia QB is a legit two-way prospect and baseball plays a big factor in his decision as well.

“I plan to play baseball at the college level,” Lonergan said. “It’s the biggest deciding factor for me on whether a school will let me play both or not.”

Dylan Lonergan ranks as the No. 82 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No.9 quarterback and the fifth-best player in the state of Georgia.
