Four-star running back Anthony Carrie of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day High has narrowed his list to six schools – Michigan State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Ole Miss, USC, and Oklahoma.

The 6-foot, 200 pounder discussed his finalists with On3.

Michigan State Spartans: “It feels like family there,” Carrie said. “It was no awkward first interaction with them. They’ve also shown what they can do with great backs.”

Notre Dame Fighting Irish: “They have one of the best running back coaches in college football,” Carrie said. “How could I not consider them along with the superb academics?”

North Carolina Tar Heels: “They have produced backs to the league in the last 5 years and it feels like home there.”

Ole Miss Rebels:  “Ole Miss is hot right now,” Carrie said. “Their running game is off the charts. It is also somewhere I know I can come in and make an impact.”

South Carolina Gamecocks:  “At South Carolina I love the people in the building,” Carrie said. “I see an opportunity to play there early.”

Oklahoma Sooners:  “Coach (Demarco) Murray recruits me hard,” Carrie said. “I know he’s one of the best. Oklahoma is somewhere I feel like I can come in and make an impact as well.”

Carrie ranks as the No. 237 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 17 running back and the No. 33 player in the state of Florida.
