Four-star safety Zaquan Patterson of Miami Gardens (FL) Chaminade-Madonna Prep has narrowed his list to five schools– Miami, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, and Auburn.

The 6-foot-1, 195 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.

Miami

“Miami has been there since the beginning. Already having the relationship I had with some of the coaches made it easy for me to love the program. It’s full of great people that want to create better men on and off the field.”

Florida State

“Coach Norvell is the biggest reason that I have the love I have for Florida State. Since day one our relationship has been great, but the most important thing that I’ve learned and carry with me daily from him is that no matter what people may see me as player wise, I should just consider myself a playmaker.”

Michigan

“Michigan is another school that has been here since day one and has consistently kept in contact with me throughout the process. Me and coach Clink’s relationship has been great. The guy is a gem and he loves the game as much as I do.”

Ohio State

“Ohio State is just a great school in my opinion. Mostly because I have seen the players’ development first hand. Also coach Eliano is a great guy that makes me feel like I can be developed by him, comparing me to guys like Sauce.”

Auburn

“Auburn is just filled with genuine people who just want the best for their players. I’ve been around the program since about 12 and they’re really a family up there.”
