Four-star wide receiver Aeyrn Hampton of Daingerfield (TX) High narrowed his list to seven schools– Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, Michigan, and Nebraska.

The 5-foot-11, 185 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.

Alabama

“The development of the program and what coach Saban and coach Wiggins have done with receivers is crazy.”

LSU

“The culture in Baton Rouge is different. I talk to their coaches a lot and like what coach Brian Kelly is doing with the program so far. They will be a top 5 team in the next few years mark my words.”

Oklahoma

“I like coach Emmett Jones and the relationship we have built. We talk almost everyday for about an hour and I love what he did at Texas Tech with their receivers and how he develops them. I also liked how he didn’t just throw me an offer, he actually is recruiting me!!”

Texas

“It has always been love from the whole staff at Texas, even from the fans! Coach Sark is a great coach that lets his receivers run down the field. I’m a deep threat receiver, so if I was to go to Texas, it would be a great fit.”

Oregon

“Oregon keeps in constant contact with me and checks on me almost everyday. I have built an actual relationship with most of the coaches. However,  I haven’t got down there yet but will definitely be in the spring.”

Michigan

“Michigan is a great program under coach Harbaugh. He has kept that program alive and is constantly winning and in the CFB playoffs. I love how he has just started using the receivers more in the passing game. Me and coach Mike Elston and coach Bel have a great relationship.”

Nebraska

“If there’s any school that deserves a chance, it’s Nebraska. The fan base is crazy and I talk to the staff more than I talk to my girlfriend. It’s crazy coach Rhule and I have a great relationship. He always tells me how I can be used in the offense, on special teams, and defense. I will definitely be taking an official visit there.”

Hampton ranks as the No. 59 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 11 wide receiver and the No. 7 player in the state of Texas.
