Four-star wide receiver Jalen Hale of Longview (TX) High is down to three schools– Alabama, Georgia, and Texas.

The 6-foot-1, 185 pounder went in depth on his finalists.

Alabama

“I have a good relationship with the WR coach,” Hale said. “I feel like it’s a good place to play because we know what they do, and they have a really good academic program. It is also a nice area, and they are going to have you league ready for sure.”

Georgia

“Me and the WR coach have a really good relationship,” Hale said. “I like the area out there and it’s a good academic program too.I also like how they treat all their players. Georgia has a  great head coach and will get you ready for the next level.”

Texas

“I have a good relationship with coach Marion, but when coach Sark moved to Texas I knew what he was about from Bama,” Hale said. “So I think Texas is a good school because I know how they use their receivers and they have 2 of the best QBs and it’s a great area as well.

Jalen Hale Scouting Summary

“Productive receiver for one of the top high school programs in Texas,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Excels at the catch point. Was the first freshman to start on varsity back in 2019 for East Texas powerhouse Longview high school since the early 2000’s. Totaled 50 catches for 1,154 yards and 14 touchdowns in his junior season. Does much of his damage out of the slot at Longview. Checks in at 6-foot-0.5, 185 pounds with a 32.5 inch arm. Has natural explosion and ability to go up and high point the football. A starter for the basketball team. Needs some refinement in his route running and sinking at the top of his routes, which should come with collegiate coaching. Has upside to be a difference-maker at the college level, but will need to refine his game.”

Hale ranks as the No. 76 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No.14 wide receiver and the No. 14 player in the state of Texas.
