The Under Armour Next Future 50 check-in got underway on Friday as some of the nation’s best players from around the country arrived at IMG Academy ahead of this weekend’s competition. On3 was and continues to be on hand for all of the action, which includes the recruiting intel from the event.

There were a handful of 2023 and 2024 players on hand who certainly passed the eye test, as well as commitments from Texas, Miami, Oklahoma, LSU, Penn State, Clemson and Iowa State represented in our top 12. With that in mind, On3 delivers the Future 50 All-Lobby team featuring some of the most physically impressive players st to compete this weekend.

Sydir Mitchell (Texas)

The 6-foot-6, 350-pound Mitchell was undoubtedly the most physically impressive player on hand at Future 50 check-in. You couldn’t miss him if you tried. The Texas commitment from the East Coast has broad shoulders and is a massive-sized interior defensive lineman with an already filled-out frame ahead of his senior season. Mitchell was coveted by SEC schools — and still is — and is a key part of the Longhorns’ No. 4-rated class.

Adepoju Adebawore (Oklahoma)

The recent Oklahoma pledge out of North Kansas City, a top-20 player nationally, catches your attention at first glance. Adebawore is not only long (6-foot-5), but showed up at IMG looking closer to 240 pounds with added muscle in his upper body and arms. The elite EDGE has a seven-foot wingspan and might’ve added more power to his repertoire this offseason.

Francis Mauigoa (Miami)

Mauigoa looked the part of the nation’s No. 10 overall player — and the recent Miami commitment is a tightly-packed 6-foot-5, 330 pounds and carries it well. Mauigoa has broad shoulders, thick arms and forearms, and big mitts on top of a menacing reputation as a mauler on the field. The five-star offensive lineman blends both power and nimbleness.

Cayden Green (Oklahoma)

The new Oklahoma pledge out of Lees Summit (Mo.) has slimmed down and checked into Bradenton, Fla., at 6-foot-6 and closer to 300 pounds. Green should be lighter on his feet. He already possesses a massive wingspan, long arms and a tenacious blocking style. Green’s addition to the Sooners’ 2023 haul has bolstered them into No. 12 nationally.

Riley Williams (Miami)

Top-60 tight end Riley Williams also passed the eye test at 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds as a flex tight end that blends a receiver’s skill-set into a tight end’s frame. The Miami commitment originally out of Portland showed up with a broad chest and thick arms and continues to look the part as his senior season nears.

Javien Toviano

Not many defensive backs command a room like Javien Toviano does. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder from Arlington (Texas) Martin arrived in mid-season form. Toviano is an elite big corner with size, length and advanced technique, and is also getting courted to be an athletic free safety that can cover and show off his range defending the run. Texas A&M holds a slight edge over Texas on the Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Joenel Aguero

Talented top-50 safety Joenel Aguero is days away from revealing his college commitment; the thick-framed defender looks as if he could suit up on Saturdays now. Aguero, who’s considering Georgia, Florida, Miami and Ohio State, has the size to slide down closer to the box and play near the line of scrimmage, with a frame geared for a physical brand of football. The defending champs lead the way on the RPM.

Elliot Washington (Penn State)

Top-10 cornerback Elliott Washington out of nearby Venice (Fla.), a Penn State commitment, was certainly among the cornerbacks to pass the eye test during Friday’s check-in. Washington may be sub-6-foot, but he’s built up his frame to be aggressive in coverage as well as against the run. Additionally, the one-time Alabama pledge has speed — a 10.79 second mark in the 100-meter.

Ryan Yaites (LSU)

On300 LSU commitment Ryan Yaites was another swoll defensive back on campus at IMG on Friday. As he makes the transition from cornerback to strong safety for Denton (Texas) Guyer, Yaites is up to 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, up about five pounds from last season and moving as well as he did pre-injury. This season, he should play more in the box and also get to cover more pass-catchers in the nickel.

Jelani Thurman

A top-10 tight end in the On3 Consensus, Thurman is a hybrid pass-catcher that possesses a wide receiver’s skill-set in a flex tight end’s frame. The 6-foot-6, 230-pounder from Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes is a mismatch physically to insert into a passing attack as a massive target with great length and a very wide radius. Ohio State is trending on the Recruiting Prediction Machine.

Noble Johnson (Clemson)

On3 Consensus four-star Clemson commit Noble Johnson was among the most physically impressive pass-catchers to pass through the check-in with legitimate size at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds. The Rockwall (Texas) product is a mismatch in the passing game as a big target for his quarterback with a vast catch radius and a good vertical jump and hands to snatch passes in contested-catch situations. Johnson, who continues to thicken his arms and legs, is a punisher in the open field.

JJ Kohl (Iowa State)

Kohl cracked the list as the lone quarterback to make the cut. Kohl, who was On3’s QB MVP from the Elite 11 Finals, has the look of a prototypical NFL quarterback with outstanding arm talent and deceptive athleticism. Kohl is 6-foot-6 and almost 240 pounds, and the Iowa State legacy has some more room to bolster his frame along the way.
