4-star QB Gavin Sidwar plans spring visits to three of his finalists

Warrington (Pa.) La Salle four-star quarterback Gavin Sidwar has continued to see his stock rise ahead of his senior season. The former Rutgers commit continues to work towards making another college decision.
On Thursday, Sidwar told On3 that he’s set to see three of his five finalists later this month. Trips to Ole Miss (March 18), Missouri (March 20) and Syracuse (March 26) are now on the schedule for the 6-foot-3, 175-pounder.
Sidwar trimmed his list of top schools last month, with Iowa and UCLA also making the cut.
He is the No. 325 overall prospect and No. 21 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 8 player in Pennsylvania.
On3 ranks Sidwar higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 267 recruit and No. 20 QB in the updated On300.
As a junior, Sidwar broke multiple school records at LaSalle, throwing for 2,747 passing yards on 220 completions. LaSalle finished the season with a 10-1 record and ranked as the No. 33 team in the nation and No. 2 team in Pennsylvania, per the On3 Composite.

Syracuse among those pushing the hardest for Sidwar
Head coach Fran Brown and his staff at Syracuse continue to build recruiting momentum, and Sidwar is a top target for the Orange under center. The blue-chipper recently broke down what has Syracuse so high on his board entering the spring.
“Coach Brown is very engaging with the players,” Sidwar said. “Treats them like men but also holds them accountable and to a high standard. I know some players there and they all rave about him as a program leader but even more as a person.
…They are having success recruiting because they transformed the culture with this staff. Players want to be coached and they want to be pushed. Syracuse is doing both and they won 10 games. That’s why they are heating up on the trail.”
The Orange now have nine commits in their 2026 class, which ranks No. 36 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Of Sidwar’s five finalists, Iowa currently has the highest-ranked class at No. 22.
