ESPN’s Greg McElroy predicted the outcome of “The Game” between Ohio State and Michigan Saturday. It’s a pivotal matchup between the two and McElroy likes the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor this weekend.

“There are more pathways to victory for this version of Ohio State, but they must dictate the terms of engagement in this game,” McElroy said on Always College Football. “If they don’t, and they fall into a Michigan style game again, then it will be a really close ball game. I don’t think they will. Give me the Buckeyes and lay the points in Ann Arbor. I think they’re just a vastly superior team.”

Ohio State comes in at 11-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country. Meanwhile, Michigan is 9-2 and ranked No. 15 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

Ryan Day knows this game is his bugaboo and Ohio State has lost four in a row to Michigan. Last year was a stunner, especially considering the Buckeyes went on to win the national title anyway.

“Like I say, fun is kicking ass, and that’s what we want to do on Saturday,” Day said. “So, we’re preparing to do that, and that’s it. There’s nothing funny about this at all, but the fun part is winning. We’ll save the fun for being in the locker room and celebrating after the game.

“The preparation is what you love. You love the competitive part of this and everything that comes with it. Our guys came in Sunday, came in here yesterday, got work on their own and even guys in the building today, they got a good bounce in their step, and they look forward to this week.”

Whichever way this game goes, Ohio State and Michigan might have the best rivalry in sports. That’s how Wolverines’ head coach Sherrone Moore sees “The Game.”

“I was talking to Coach (Chip) Lindsey about it,” Moore responded when asked about the rivalry. “He’s been apart of the Iron Bowl (Alabama vs. Auburn). We’ve talked to people that have been to the Iron Bowl and this one, and it’s just different. You can’t describe it. I can try and describe you the feeling of what it feels like, but I can’t. I remember last year going on the field with Jaishawn (Barham), and we’re running out there for warmups, and he’s like ‘yeah, this is different’. And Jaishawn doesn’t say much, and for him to say that, this is different.

“And so, it’s a feeling that you can’t really describe. It’s an intensity. It’s just an aura about it that you just can’t describe until you get on the field. It’s awesome to be a part of. It’s the best rivalry in sports in my opinion. It’s the funnest one as well, because it’s competitive and there’s nothing like it.”
