Isaiah Abraham is On3’s No. 15 player in the 2024 class rankings. The 6-foot-7 wing played up on Nike’s 17u EYBL Circuit this summer with the Team Takeover program that made it to the Peach Jam finals. In 23 games, Abraham scored .900 points per possession with a 49.6 effective field goal percentage.

“I try and bring energy and play defense every time I’m on the floor,” Abraham told On3. “I can get to my spots on offense and rise over people to make shots and finish strong. I’ll watch a lot of Paul George and Devin Booker with how they use their size to rise over defenders and get to their jump shots.”

Abraham, who is the son of former Marquette starting forward Faisal Abraham, has started to be prioritized by college programs. On3 caught up with Isaiah Abraham at the CBG Fall Series 1 to talk about his recruitment.

“I would say I’m hearing the most from Virginia, Kansas State, UConn, Georgetown, and Marquette,” Abraham said. “I’m trying to set up a Kansas State visit right now, and I just took an unofficial visit to Virginia.”

Abraham talks recruiting

Virginia: “I learned how the players are really like a family over there. They work on development a lot with their players. I like the coaches there a lot.”

Kansas State: “The environment they have built over there, and the fans are great. I’ve built a great relationship with the coaching staff, and I value that a lot.”

Marquette: “Obviously, my dad played there. I’m interested in getting up there for a visit. I haven’t been able to see the grounds or meet the players, but I’ve developed a good relationship with the coaching staff. I’m looking forward to getting up there.”

Georgetown: “Patrick Ewing is sticking out with Georgetown. He is a great mentor, even reaching out to me after games.”

UConn: “I want to get up there and see them. I’ve heard a lot about the campus and how the coaches stress development, and that is something that is important to me too.”

“I’ve been contacted recently by Arizona State and Clemson too, but neither has offered yet,” Abraham said.

Abraham’s take

“I would say I’ve personally developed the best relationship with Patrick Ewing and Jareem Dowling so far,” Abraham said. “I’m looking for a program that will develop me. When I go to school, I want to know I’m going to a place that will get me better.

I also want to play for a winning organization. I value that a lot, along with the relationship I have with the coaching staff.”

On3’s take

Isaiah Abraham is an explosive wing. He has great measurables with long arms and good positional size. At his core, Abraham is a shot-maker. He has touch, range, and confidence from anywhere on the floor. He is going to have to shore up his footwork and balance, which will help with his shot selection. Abraham is able to attack the rim in straight lines and finish well above the rim in transition. He has the upside to be a good team defender; there is a toughness in there and with his size. Abraham’s father, Faisal Abraham, played at Marquette, and his aunt Tajama Abraham Ngongba played at George Washington.
