With the college football season ramping up, Week 4 provides some great matchups as teams start to head into conference play. A jam-packed slate left it up to Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt to highlight a few for fans to keep an eye on this weekend.

Klatt featured those picks on ‘Breaking The Huddle’ from CFB on Fox. He started with a Top-25 SEC matchup with No. 10 Arkansas squaring off with No. 23 Texas A&M. While the Aggies just got back on track against Miami, Klatt says it will be all Hogs in that one.

“There are some great games to watch. There’s six Top-10 teams this week that I think are going to be in really tough games…Texas A&M plays Arkansas. Arkansas is one of the best rushing teams in the SEC while A&M cannot stop the run,” said Klatt. “I would think that Arkansas is going to win this game outright…I’m hammering Arkansas in that one. That’s the game I’d be looking for.”

From there, Klatt headed out west to break down a Pac-12 matchup between No. 7 USC and Oregon State. Klatt has seen some things that suggest that the Beavers may be able to pull this one out. Even with Lincoln Riley’s high-powered offense coming to Corvallis, he says he won’t be surprised if Johnathan Smith’s team is in it until the very end.

“Then USC goes to Oregon State. That is a sneaky tough game. Oregon State was 6-0 last year at home under Johnathan Smith,” said Klatt. “It’s a team that does not turn the ball over that much. Meanwhile, USC desperately needs turnovers for their defense to be effective…(The Beavers) will not be overmatched in this game. It won’t shock me at all if that’s closer than the experts think and it won’t shock me at all if Oregon State actually wins that one.”

With other conference games like Clemson vs. Wake Forest and Florida vs. Tennessee on this weekend, this should be yet another busy college football weekend. Still, Klatt’s eyes will be on his pair of games in the SEC and Pac-12. It’s early in the season, but both games will have major ramifications on how their respective conferences shake out this season.
