Cam Scott has been on fire this fall. He has led his team to this week’s championship game in the Glymph Fall League, scoring over 20 points in each outing. He exploded for a league-high 51 last week.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard is the No. 14 player in the 2024 On3 150. Duke’s Jon Scheyer will stop by Lexington (SC) High on Wednesday, and Auburn’s Bruce Pearl will be by on Thursday.

The four-star took an unofficial visit to Tennessee last weekend. He will travel to Duke for an unofficial visit on November 30 for the ACC-BIG 10 Challenge.

Scott has three junior year official visits set and is rescheduling a fourth. He will visit South Carolina (10/22)Auburn (11/11), and Texas (10/25). Scott had an official visit set with Florida State; however, it had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Ian.

Scott carries over 20 D-I offers. He was 5A All-State for the second time last season after averaging 21.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard was the leading scorer for one of the best 16u teams – Team United – on the Nike EYBL Circuit, averaging 11.8 points and shooting 50.7 percent from the field in 15.4 minutes per game.

Scott also led the NBPA Top 100 Camp in three-point shooting, knocking down 50 percent of his shots and winning a camp championship.

Scott’s scouting report

Cam Scott is a lengthy wing prospect with a lot of pop. The natural tools are very impressive all the way around. Scott has a mature game, plays within the flow of the offense, and rarely forces things. The jump shot release can be cleaned up, but the pull-up is smooth. Since the summer, Scott has developed his footwork and handle in the half-court, creating space to elevate into his jumper. Scott can take over a game and carry his team. I would like to see him develop the comfort to take a more aggressive alpha role on his teams. He is very efficient in his game, and his ability to score with a less is more approach is mature. Strength will come, and he is tracking as one of the top players in the 2024 class.
