Northport (Ala.) Tuscaloosa County running back Kevin Riley is not currently ranked in the 2024 On3 Consensus or the 2024 On300. That may change soon, as Riley rushed for roughly 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior season.

Colleges are certainly taking notice, since the 6-foot-0, 192-pound tailback holds 17 offers. Following an Ole Miss offer on Oct. 28, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M followed suit.

“I’m just letting everything soak in for right now and then later on, I will of course have to make a decision,” Riley told On3. “But right now, I’m just letting everything soak in and seeing how things go.”

This season, Riley has visited the Crimson Tide, Rebels and Tigers. They were his first trips to Auburn and Ole Miss. Meanwhile, Alabama already got a visit from Riley during his sophomore year.

At the moment, Riley is “open to everyone.” Louisville, Miami and South Carolina are showing constant communication, reaching out once a week.

“Most of the coaches, they tell me that I have good footwork and that I have lots of speed,” Riley said. “They also tell me that they like how tough I am and physical when running the ball.”

While Riley does not have any visit plans for the rest of the season, he may take a trip to see the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn. According to Riley, he speaks “sometimes” with Crimson Tide running backs coach Robert Gillespie.

Watching college football is something that Riley enjoys. He got to see some of the best players in the country last weekend when he watched Alabama face Ole Miss in Oxford. Some of the players on that field included Will Anderson, Quinshon Judkins and Bryce Young.

At the moment, it is still relatively early in Riley’s recruiting process. As a result, the tailback is doing everything he can to get ready for the eventual transition into college football.

“The main thing I’m focused on is making sure that I have the grades, so I could be able to do all of that,” Riley said. “For me right now, it’s mainly get what I gotta get done to be able to be what I want to be later on in life.”
