Five-star and No. 3 ranked overall prospect Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy of Lakeland (Fla.) High is set to be at Oklahoma this weekend for an official visit.

The visit to Norman comes two weeks after the senior defensive lineman and OU legacy reduced his list of schools to Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

“My relationship with the coaching staff, in general, has always been good,” Brownlow-Dindy said. “I’ve talked to coach (Lincoln) Riley and coach (Calvin) Thibodeaux since the beginning of my recruitment process. It’s always been a good connection.”

The Sooners are projected as the team to beat. But Brownlow-Dindy’s family will be moving to College Station, Texas, in January when his father starts a new job as the director of the Texas School of Preaching.

Campbell another 5-star OU visitor

Another top target to keep an eye on at OU is five-star IOL Devon Campbell of Arlington (Texas) Bowie. Texas and Oklahoma are the top two teams for Campbell. The unofficial visit is a chance for the Sooners to make a good impression.

On3 National Analyst Gerry Hamilton says Campbell is a must-get recruit for the Sooners.

“The Sooners winning out would keep the rival’s perceived weakest position in the program down a little longer,” Hamilton said. “The last thing Oklahoma wants to see is (Texas coach) Steve Sarkisian start signing the blue chips on offense from the state of Texas in year one. This is a must-get, battleground recruit for both programs.”

2023 targets to visit Oklahoma

Top 2023 offensive lineman Cayden Green of Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North is a “big fan” of Oklahoma and will return to Norman for a third time this weekend. The Sooners have been in the driver’s seat for his recruitment for quite some time.

On3 Top 100 junior LB Anthony Hill of Denton (Texas) Ryan will also be there, along with OU junior commits five-star QB Malachi Nelson and four-star WR Makai Lemon of Los Alamitos, Calif.

Trio of committed official visitors

Most of OU’s top 2022 commitments are also set to be in the house. This includes a trio of commitments making an official visit.

Consensus four-star OT Jacob Sexton of Edmond (Okla.) Deer Creek, consensus four-star IOL Demetrius Hunter of Orange (Texas) West-Orange Stark and consensus three-star TE Jason Llewellyn of Aledo, Texas, will be making their official trips.
