2025 LB Kimar Nelson commits to Purdue
Fort Wayne (Ind.) Wayne linebacker Kimar Nelson has committed to Purdue, he announced on Monday evening.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder visited West Lafayette for the Boilermakers’ game against Northwestern last weekend and is now in the mix for Ryan Walters and Co.
“After a great conversation with Joe Dineen I am blessed to receive an offer and announce my commitment to the University of Purdue I am excited about the opportunity that lies ahead,” Nelson wrote on X announcing his decision. “I am eager to get to work, develop my skills, and grow both as an athlete and as an individual.”
“I Really like the campus environment, the coaches, and their engineering program. Them being so close to home made the decision a lot easier,” Nelson told On3.
He becomes commitment No. 11 for the Boilermakers in the 2025 cycle. Purdue’s class ranks just No. 79 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
