Following spring practices and spring position battles, Las Vegas oddsmakers have refreshed the odds for the 2022 Heisman Trophy. Returning quarterbacks topped the board two months ago, but now, plenty of newcomers are in the mix.

Some things don’t change, however, as Alabama Crimson Tide 2021 winner Bryce Young is still the odds leader at +200. He has the opportunity to be the first back-to-back Heisman winner since Archie Griffin in 1974-75.

Trailing Bryce Young in the odds is Ohio State star C.J. Stroud at +400. Stroud put an exclamation point on his 2021 season with a six-touchdown performance in the Rose Bowl. That showing put the Buckeyes youngster at the top of mind for the Heisman in 2022. He finished fourth in 2021.

New USC quarterback Caleb Williams is third in Vegas’ list of favorites for the Heisman in 2022. After winning the job in Norman, Williams threw for 1,912 yards and scored 27 total touchdowns as OU closed the year with an 11-2 record. He’s attempting to do all that and more with Lincoln Riley in L.A. this season.

Two months ago, a pair of Texas Longhorns were in the top five of the 2022 Heisman Trophy odds. Returning star running back Bijan Robinson is still in fourth. However, Quinn Ewers dropped down below other transfer quarterbacks like Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart and South Carolina’s Spencer Rattler.
