Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon four-star combo guard Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, has received an offer from Memphis, a source told On3.

On Thursday, On3’s Jamie Shaw reported that the Tigers were actively recruiting James.

The majority of Bronny’s recruitment largely remains a mystery. However, On3 has discovered USC has also offered James a scholarship. North Carolina A&T and North Carolina Central both offered Bronny back in early 2020.

On3 recently reported Ohio State and Oregon are also actively recruiting James.

It’s still early in the process for James, as he has yet to take a college visit. But sources have told On3 that he’s planning on seeing college campuses soon.

Earlier this week, Jamie Shaw placed a prediction in favor of Oregon to land James, at a 55-percent confidence level.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound James ranked as the No. 43 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus. He’s also the No. 9 combo guard the No. 12 player in the state of California. On3’s evaluators are slightly higher on James, ranking him 38th overall in the class.

Bronny James’ NIL value is worth millions

James has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.4M, making him the most valuable high school athlete in the name, image, and likeness era. To no surprise, Bronny is the No. 1 player in On3’s NIL 100, which ranks high school and college football and men’s basketball players. The On3 NIL 100 is the first of its kind and the defacto NIL ranking of the top 100 high school and college athletes based on projected market valuation.

Bronny James’ massive $6.4 million On3 NIL Valuation is fueled largely by his huge followings on Instagram and TikTok.

Based on his On3 NIL Valuation, one Instagram post from James has a projected value of $77,000. He’s also become one of the youngest athlete entrepreneurs in the world with endorsement deals with companies like PSD Underwear.

About Bronny

Bronny James has been a viral sensation for most of his life as the oldest son of NBA star LeBron James. And while Bronny has built a reputation as a top high school player in the 2023 class, he has amassed an even bigger following on social media – including racking up more than a million Instagram followers in less than 24 hours. His name recognition and f have made him basketball royalty before he even steps foot on a college campus. And as such, he is the most valuable high school athlete in the name, image and likeness (NIL) era. But he’s not just a social media sensation. Bronny is also a star on the court, too. And his father says he dreams of playing with him someday. “I want him to be in the NBA,” LeBron said about his son. “I’m not going to lie, I want to be on the court with him. I think that will be an unbelievable moment. But I want him to get to the NBA.”

Bronny James Scouting Summary

On3’s Jamie Shaw wrote the following scouting summary for James:

Bronny James is a sturdy guard, with a strong frame, long arms, and broad shoulders. The 6-2/6-3 guard is a noted defender at the point of attack. He moves his feet well laterally and plays with a chip on his shoulder. Offensively he does not really show blow-by burst in the half-court, but he attacks closeouts well, and he is strong in the paint. James is good in transition, has a little bit of wiggle there, and can get on the rim. He is explosive in straight lines. James needs to tighten his handle in space. One of his biggest areas of improvement is from three, where he has cleaned up his mechanics – especially the release – and gathered his balance. James made 13 threes in six Peach Jam games at a 35 percent clip. He will need to finish better at the rim, especially in traffic. When playing as the primary initiator, he takes care of the ball with a better than 2.5:1 assists to turnover ratio at Peach Jam.
