Lincoln Riley is not done bringing members of his Oklahoma staff to Los Angeles with him. Per The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman, outside linebackers coach Jamar Cain will be joining Riley at USC.

One of the nation’s top recruiters, Cain’s has ties to the West Coast and Pac-12. He has spent time at both Fresno State, Wyoming and Arizona State. The new hire also has experience with new USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch; the two worked together at Oklahoma the last two seasons.

During his time in Norman, Cain coached outside linebacker Nik Bonitto along with defensive end Ronnie Perkins. Bonitto ranked 13th in the country in 2020 with his 8.0 sacks, while Ronnie Perkins had 5.5 sacks in six games. Bonitto and Perkins, who were both second-team All-Big 12 honorees, tied for second on the squad with 10.5 tackles for loss.
